HTML tags in forum notification emails

Good afternoon, everyone.

If you subscribed to the forum, you are likely aware that many of the email notifications show up with lots of HTML tags in them. This can make those notifications very difficult to read.

Abila is aware of the issue, and we are working with our technology partner to correct it. This has been a challenging issue to fix correctly, and we appreciate your patience.

In the meantime, you should know that posts show up correctly on the website. So in the forum notification email, you can click the “View comment in community” link or the “View topic in community” link, and it will take you to that post on the website. If you are not logged in, that's OK. You won't need to be logged in to read it.

We hope that helps for now, and thanks again for your patience as we work through this issue.

Status update and one additional issue

Good afternoon,

We wanted to let you know that we are still working on fixing the HTML tags in forum notification emails. We hope to have an update soon. We have made some progress, but are still working through some issues.

One additional issue we want to bring to your attention is regarding posting comments to the forum by email. Posting an original message by email works correctly, and you can reply to an email notification of an original message, and your reply will post correctly as well. However, if you reply to a comment (not the original post), this is currently not working by email.

We hope to have this issue resolved soon as well. In the meantime, if you want to reply to a comment, we recommend that you log into the forum to post your comment directly on the forum. We do understand this is not convenient and will continue to work with our technology partner to get the issues resolved.

Thank you again for your patience. We will update again as soon as we have more information.
